Islam Is Loyalty

Islam Is Loyalty

Dr. Pasha

(Bringing Islam to the World One Concept at a Time!
Taking the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It --
And which One Does Not?)

Islam, believe it or not, is another name for loyalty. The Hadith calls it Naseehah.

When asked "Loyalty for whom?" the answer was -- I am broadly paraphrasing it here:

To Allah!
To Allah's Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam)!
And to the entire community of Islam!

I do not at this time recall the exact wording of the Hadith Sharif. But people can check and verify the actual words and correct me if necessary.

My memory at this time says:

Lillahi,
Wa Li-Rasulihi,
Wa Li-Aammatil Muslimeen!

We are basically a very small operation. We have nobody with us except Allah. And Allah's blessed Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam!

And we are doing better than some of those prophets of God, Alaihim Assalam, who had zero support in the community.

Let us not forget how, at one time, "ground zero" for Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, was just two individuals:

"One slave and one free man."

That was the response that he gave when he took his message on the road and was asked:

"Who are the people with you?
How many of them are there?"

He said, again if my memory serves me right:

Abdun wa Hurr!

My tears do not stop as I write these words.

Allahu Akbar! What was the man selling? Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam!

Was he trying to sell them something that will benefit him in any way? Something that will bring him name, fame, wealth, prestige and good life in this world?

None of the above!

Instead he was offering them all of those things in this life and much, much more in the next life -- and asking nothing in return!

Not a thing!

That is how he did his work: Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam!

All of the 23 years of pain and suffering and intense loneliness that he endured in trying to do this work!

Our work is no different. Even though we are not even the dust under his blessed feet or of his noble Companions. Or the feet of any of the Siddeequeen, Shuhadaa and Saaliheen!

All those blessed and exalted categories of people that Allah refers to in the Noble Qur'an:

Alladheena An'amallahu Alaihim
Minan Nabiyyeena
Was Siddeequeena
Wash Shuhadaa-i
Was Saaliheen!

It is the same message -- his message; their message -- that we are offering the world.

It is the same book -- the book that he said he brought from his God -- that we are trying to take to the world.

And we offer nothing in return. Not power; not position of any kind! No worldly incentives or perks.

No conventions and conferences in five-star venues! No international travel or adventure. No rubbing shoulders with "Islamic" celebrities.

We offer none of it. All we have to give is the Qur'an and the Hadith. In the simplest and clearest terms we can.

Our path is a known path. It is written in clear script all over the pages of the Qur'an. It is a path of pain and suffering and rejection and loneliness.

In the words of the Qur'an, it is the path of "Mataa Nasrullah?"

"When, oh, when will Allah's help come?
And how and in what form will it come?"

So, those who join hands with us in this work should have complete loyalty to this work. They should have clear vision and focus. And they should be completely single minded.

If not, such people, whoever they are, should go where their heart is.

And we should do our work the old fashioned way: carrying our literature on our back and parading the streets and markets of the world trying to engage those who will be kind enough to pay attention to us and listen to us.

And we shall continue to do this for as long as we live.

Wa Bi-Dhaalika Umirtu
Wa Ana Awwalul Muslimeen!

END
