MY LOG 10

Tyrants in Muslim World

Dr. Pasha

(Bringing Islam to the World One Concept at a Time!
Taking the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It --
And which One Does Not?)

It seems to me sometimes our Islam gets in the way of our understanding the world.

Sometimes, the blinders we wear, often in the name of Islam, seem to be so opaque and so darkly tinged that we miss some of even the most obvious things in our field of vision.

Our excuse? Why, we are good Muslims, aren't we?

Really? Good Muslims did you say?

Good Muslims indeed!

Then how come we cannot even see the meteors that hit us between the eyes with warp velocity?

So totally bat-blind to reality, and yet we talk about Islam? And call ourselves Muslims?

What Islam is that?

According to Hadith, a believer is supposed to be sharp, smart and hawk-eyed.

Kayyis, Fatin – those are the original words of the Hadith.

If this is how sharp and smart we are, then May God save his world.

A world that he said he was leaving in our care.

No wonder the world is the kind of mess it is.

Look at the Non-Muslims, around the world. They seem to know what is going on in the world.

At least many of them.

They seem to have no difficulty in seeing that Muslims are ruled, wall to wall, by all manner and grade of tyrants and dictators.

They just think that is what "These Mozlem fellows want."

And that is what "This Izlum thing" is all about.

And that dictators and tyrants are good for "These Mozlem fellows."

Of course Muslims never bothered to tell Non-Muslims that to call Muslims “Mozlems” and Islam “Izlum” was a most highly offensive and despicable slur.

Not all Non-Muslims of course, but there are those among them who think that way.

And there is quite a powerful propaganda machinery that puts out that message with remarkable consistency and force: that democracy is bad and dictatorship is good for Muslims.

Yet, on the other hand, there are many Non-Muslims who clearly understand how those dictators in Muslim lands are thieves and crooks, and how they brutalize the People and pillage and squander their wealth.

And how in many cases they are doing the bidding of their foreign masters and mentors to the detriment of the genuine interests and needs of their own people, nations, societies and region.

Now it seems Allah is getting rid of some of these dictators and tyrants on his own.

Out of the blue sky, as they say.

Miracles of cataclysmic social and political change are sweeping what the Colonial Masters and their dutiful slaves call the "Middle East," right before our eyes.

Everybody else can see that – including many non-Muslims. Why can't the Muslims?

I suspect, Allah will judge us, not so much by where our bodies were, in the mosque or in the market.

But more perhaps by where our hearts were, with the Tyrants or with the People.

That to me is the true test of our Islam.
