Me: “Supposing you ask me a question and I give you an answer and we proceed in that way till we come to the happy ending.”
Me: “What do you say?”
You: “Let us go! What is keeping us?”
Me: “So, go ahead, shoot. Oops! Did I say that?”
You: “Yes, you did.”
Me: “My bad. I didn’t mean it to come out that way.”
You: “What did you mean then?”
Me: “I meant what is your question. Go ahead and ask your question. That is what I meant.”
Me: “Astaghfirullah!”
You: “What was that? What did you say?”
Me: “I said ‘Sorry!’”
You: “It didn’t sound like sorry I thought.”
Me: “That is because I said it in Arabic.”
You: “You said sorry in Arabic?”
Me: “I said it in the words God teaches us to use whenever we do something terrible. Something we should not have done.”
You: “God teaches you?”
Me: “That is right. In the Qur’an: he says ask forgiveness for your sin. And that is what I did.”
Me: “I asked God for forgiveness.”
You: “God teaches you how to do that?”
Me: “Yep, he does indeed. The words I used were the exact words of Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.”
You: “What…what was that thing again?”
Me: “Astaghfirullah! Meaning: I implore God to forgive me.”
Me: “Anyway, what were you going to say? What were you going to ask?”
You: “Oh, ok. Here is my question: Why are the Muslims so messed up?”
Me: “Messed up, did you say?”
You: “Messed up, that is what I said.”
Me: “Messed up, how?”
You: “You know! Muslims are the ultimate Bad News Bearers of the world? Blowing up everything in sight, including themselves. Lopping off women’s genitals at every opportunity. Stoning every adulterer in sight to death. You know the routine.”
You: “You give Muslims half a chance and they will use it to do something most terrible in the world.”
You: “You know what I am talking about.”
Me: “I suppose I do. But how do you know?”
Me: “How do you know all this stuff? Who is telling us all this?”
You: “What, you don’t follow the media? That is who is telling us? What planet do you live on? Does your Planet La-La have television?”
Me: “I live right here, next door to you. And yes, I follow the media, and I get some of the same standard media fare about Muslims that you do. You know that.”
You: “Then what is your problem? Why are you asking me where I get all this stuff from?”
Me: “And you believe everything you read and hear and see in the media? And you think the media are telling you the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?”
You: “Of course I do. Don’t you? Well, maybe not everything. Maybe not some of the details. But how can they go wrong on some of the big stories? The big picture I mean?”
Me: “Who else is telling you all this?”
You: “The politicians of course, among others. Including your MP. What, you never heard the man? You guys elected him, didn’t you?”
Me: “Well, you elected him too. And he is more your MP than mine, even though technically he is mine too. You don’t believe in False Flag operations?”
You: “I don’t believe it! I don’t go by Conspiracy Theories!”
Me: “So, you don’t believe there is such a thing as False Flag stuff?”
You: “No, no, no! That is not what I meant. What I said was I don’t believe you would say such outlandish things in this context. False Flag, my foot.”
