Reflections on Pasha Hour International
Dr. Pasha
(Bringing Islam to the World One Concept at a Time!
Taking the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It --
And which One Does Not?)
We probably have logged over a decade and a half on Pasha Hour International. And many people have helped and made every minute, every second and every aspect of it possible.
May Allah bless and reward those quiet but mighty warriors of Truth and Justice. And those unabashed champions of human dignity and equality. And those with such single-minded commitment to a life of help and compassion for all -- both Muslim and non-Muslim.
These are men and women who have poured their help and support into the making, recording and broadcasting of this Pasha Hour International: financially, professionally, technologically and in every other way.
And in cleaning, polishing, debugging and placing its content on www.IslamicSolutions.Com.
Week after week, month after after month, year after year!
We talk about the same thing every week, all these years:
Allah and his creation.
And about Islam, Muslims and the World!
The point is what else is there to talk about, no matter how you cut it?
But, even after the passing of this decade and a half, we are far from being done. And, in many ways, if you ask me, we have barely begun.
And the fact is, we have stumbled upon a topic that shall see no end: Islam, Muslims and the World.
For, that is the story of the world. And of Time.
And that means, even if all the oceans of the world were converted into ink, and we started to use that ink to scribe about Allah and his words and deeds -- Kalimaatullah -- the oceans will dry up, the ink will end, but the story of Allah's words and deeds and affairs will still not have ended.
So, we still have things to say on Pasha Hour International. The Story of the Four Words of Laa Ilaaha Illa Allah takes an infinity of words and images to tell.
That is a story that began when Time began -- if it ever did. And it is a story that will end when Time ends -- if it ever does.
And yet, unbelievable as this may sound, we haven't even touched on the Three Words of Muhammad Rasul Allah, except maybe indirectly, in the course of the telling of the story of the Four Words of Laa Ilaaha Illa Allah!
Sometimes it strikes me -- and I don't know what it will do to whatever is left of my Iman if I say openly what is in my heart -- that with Allah all doors are open all the time.
Anyone, anytime, anywhere! That is Allah's Open-Door Policy for his slaves.
And his standing invitation to them, especially those among them with the worst, weakest and most shameful of records.
The Divine Cry rings constant and universal -- and loud and clear:
"Sinners of the World!
Come to me!
You are guaranteed you will get help!
And you have nowhere to go but me!
Hear the Aayat Karimah:
Yaa Ayyuhalladheena Asrafoo Alaa Anfusihim!
Laa Taqnatoo Min Rahmatillah!
Innallaha Yaghfirudh Dhunooba Jamee'aa!
Hear partial echos of the same from some of the most unlikely sources:
Marx calling out -- in the 19th Century -- to the oppressed, exploited and abused workers of the world:
Workers of the World, unite!
You have nothing to lose but your chains!
One from a human partisan, a clear advocate for the Working Class. The other from God Almighty, the Master of All Human Beings.
Clear and powerful proof that this Qur'an is from Allah -- if such proof were ever needed.
Allah's Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, calls them "Al-Mustad'afeen" -- referring to the weaker and abused and exploited segments of human society -- those who have been rendered weak and powerless and helpless by the oppressors of the world.
Those who have been denied respect and dignity, and equal and fair treatment, and some of the most basic or human rights, over decades and centuries.
And in Taif, when the oppressors had so blatantly rejected his Mission, and had unleashed the most cruel and barbaric assault on his Most Noble Person, Allah's Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, calls on the Rabb of the Weak and the Oppressed to come to his aid: Rabbul Mustad'afeen.
He says:
Anta Rabbul Mustad'afeen
Wa Anta Rabbee!
Paraphrase:
You are the Rabb -- Master -- of the Weak,
And of the Oppressed,
And of the Helpless!
And you are my Rabb too.
How I wish Marx and his followers would have paid attention to these words all these past decades!
And how I wish everyone would, everywhere. Even today. Who knows, maybe that would be a formula for making our world a better place for all.
That should make it clear to everyone: The work of Pasha Hour International is far from finished.
