Some Ideas for Working
for Allah in Ramadan –
And Beyond

Muslims everywhere can use these ideas – in Ramadan as well as during any other month of the year.
We work for Allah, we know that.
All of us must work for Allah, we know that too.
But then what we need is an action plan. For, Islam is a campaign and no campaign can work if there are no strategies.
Strategies must include ways to increase access to our literature during the upcoming month of Ramadan: both for us and for others.
We have an incredible website www.IslamicSolutions.Com that allows us to peruse literature from an incredible source-Dr. Pasha. Literature that is contemporary, sagacious and relevant to our daily lives. It is a combination of writings and audio that is powerful beyond measure and delightful for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
What we need is to outline ways to increase our access to the content on the website and in print literature outside the website.
Starting Online Courses using the material from www.IslamicSolutions.Com seems to be a viable approach.
Once these courses are developed, we need to come up with a plan to market them? We need to think of how to bring participants to the courses.
Perhaps through mass emails?
Possibly through Posts and Advertisements on Facebook and Twitter.
Perhaps, we can place the courses on free course platforms such as Coursera. It would be great for them to be offered as part of a University's course offerings.
Developing the courses to be standalone or part of a larger set will need a great deal of planning and organizing.
We also need the website to act as a course platform and may need course management.
We also spoke, but probably did not write, about developing videos of the content (as a number of Powerpoint shows maybe) and placing them on YouTube and Vimeo. Youtube has gained a firm foothold as a content social media source for people globally.
But just working through the content, developing themes, lessons and adding supporting quotes, articles and audio to the main content will be rewarding in itself. It should produce excellent results, inshallah.
At the same time, all of us associated with this work need to realize that, while this work is about "reaching out" to others, this work is also about "reaching in" to ourselves.
For, unless we – all of us and each and every one of us – read and understand and fully internalize our literature – the original literature in the English language that Dr. Pasha has produced over the past two decades or so, we will not have a full grasp of what it is we are doing and why we are doing it.
Nor will we know how to really go about doing that work.
Our reading of the books and articles, our listening to audio, and our working through Dr. Pasha’s quotes should be part of our main focus.
Looked at from that point of view, this is our curriculum and our training manual.
If what we are doing is really for Allah, then this is really our life.
We are fortunate and blessed that Allah has made available to us the audio and reading material that he has through the speeches and writings of Dr. Pasha over the past two decades or so.
If we don’t take advantage of these things, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
