Da’wah: Do It or Die!

There is absolutely, positively no way out for Muslims except to fully and unreservedly re-dedicate themselves – as individuals and as societies, cultures, institutions and governments – to the original mission of their life: Da’wah.

To invite the whole world to Allah and his Deen – the life-giving message of Islam.

Wa lidhaalika khalaqahum – that is why God created them in the first place.

Otherwise, to borrow an expression from Hazrath Abu Bakr, No sky will shelter them under its roof and no earth will carry them on its shoulders – if Muslims do not, as a people, reclaim their mission of Da’wah.

Therefore, for Muslims, it is Da’wah or bust. […]

Making Paradise Right Here on Earth [Quote – 254]

“Many people may think that the most important mission in life is to try and get into Paradise after death. And it is. Who can dispute that? But what about the challenge of turning this world itself into a piece of Paradise for all of Allah’s creation, and doing so:

  1. Using Allah’s guidance in the Qur’an; and
  2. Using the Sunnat or Way of Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, as model and example?

Where does that fit into the calculations of these good people? And who is supposed to do that?” (Dr. Pasha)

Muslim Role in Today’s World

Like the rest of the Muslims everywhere, I am greatly distressed and saddened by the state of the Muslim Ummah right now. I have been that way ever since I became aware, going back 30 years, what Islam really was – and what our role as Muslims was in this world.

I am deeply pained and embarrassed to say this, but the fact is that the Muslim community in Trinidad has not done much better than most Muslims in so many other parts of the world – even though Allah has given us here in Trinidad such wonderful opportunities to do things differently and better.

Trinidad Muslims today, sorry to say this, are in a state of considerable turmoil and confusion on the one hand and apathy and indifference on the other hand. What is truly sad is that not too many of us seem to understand this fully – or even care about it deeply and personally…

Following Qur’an Desecration, Muslims Must Commit to Take the Qur’an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It [Quote – 186]

“Now that you have seen with your own eyes the dark deed of Qur’an desecration, why don’t you at least now commit yourself, fully and wholeheartedly, to taking the Qur’an to every home and heart that needs it?”

Advice to Young Muslims on How to Change the World [Quote – 126]

“Advice to young Muslims – tested and true. Men as well as women. Want to change the world? Here is something you can do:

  1. Make up your mind to get the best education you can.
  2. Don’t let a single day go by without learning something new and without teaching someone something.
  3. Don’t let a single day go by without asking yourself how you could have spent that day better.

Do the things I am suggesting and the world will take care of itself.” (Dr. Pasha)

To My Fellow-Muslims in the West, a Fresh Start [Quote – 97]

“God gave us an opportunity to present Islam to the West in its original purity and simplicity. We used it instead for building our lives and for pursuing wealth and name, and power and position, for ourselves and our families. Results now stare us in the face. How about making a fresh start even now and getting on with the business of Taking the Qur’an to Every Home and Heart that Needs it?” (Dr. Pasha)
