The Terrible Events of Capitol Hill on
Wednesday, January 6, 2021

Dr. Pasha

You all saw the Madness on Capitol Hill on that Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

If you did not see, whatever your excuse, you should now. Videos are everywhere. And you probably spend all your life buried inside your Magic Phone anyway.

While the causes for these horrible events may be complex, and long standing, one simple fact to remember is this:

That is what is likely to happen when people like you and me --

ordinary human beings -- do not care about anything beyond themselves.

Beyond their own personal health, wealth and power.

Beyond their own businesses and jobs.

Beyond their own degrees and education.

And beyond their own families and friends.

And when those who call themselves Muslims stop wondering what it could possibly mean to be Allah's Khalifah on earth.

Khalifah generally means a Successor, right?

Abu Bakr was Khalifah, correct? He "succeeded" -- he "came after" and was elected leader -- after Sayyidina Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam!

He "took the place of," right -- in purely linguistic sense?

For, no one could truly succeed or take the place of Sayyidina Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam!

Umar was his Khalifah, "after" Abu Bakr, right?

So, how are you the Khalifah then? Allah's Khalifah I mean?

As in:

Innee Jaa-'ilun Fil Ardi Khalifah!

Because Allah is forever, correct? He is Al-Hayyu and Al-Qayyoomu, is he not?

And Allah is the one about whom the Qur'an says:

Wa Tawakkal Alal Hayyilladhee Laa Yamootu.

So, Allah does not die and he lives forever. So, how can someone "Succeed" him?

Did you think about that? No, you did not? Why not? When your most important job in this world was "To Think."

And to Analyze?

And to Reason?

And to Understand?

Is that not why Allah gave you a Brain

Isn't that the Path Back to Jannat

And that Path is: First Your Allah; then your Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam; and then, after that, your Own Brain?

Is that not why Allah says so many times in the Qur'an: Yatafakkaroona?

And Ya'qiloona?

And Aayaat?

And Bayyinaat?

And Tabayyana?

And Bayyannaa?

And Hudan?

Isn't there a direct and clear reference to "Thinking" in all these Divine Expressions and Aayaat?

So, go and sit in a corner and try to figure out what that expression Khalifah means in the Qur'an. And don't leave till you have figured that out.

And remember the path, once again, is:

Allah;
Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam
and your Brain.

And that means:

The Qur'an;
the Sunnat and the Hadith
and your own powers of Thought and Reasoning and Understanding.

Everything else is supplementary to that. To be used as an aid to that.

And not as a substitute for that.

And that is where Ibrahim, Alaihis Salam, was going when he declared that he was going to his God and his God will tell him what to do and show him where to go.

Innee Dhaahibun Ila Rabbee Sa-Yahdeeni.

And did he not, I mean Ibrahim, Alaihis Salam, use his Brain -- his God-given Powers of Observation, Thought and Analysis and Reasoning and Understanding -- to examine and to decide which one of the following really qualified to be his God:

a) The Star;
b) The Moon;
c) Or the Sun?

And, then, did he not reject them all, one after the other, as unfit and unqualified to be God?

And did he not, then, make the Great Big Inferential Leap to conclude that God has to be someone over and above, and beyond, these ephemeral phenomena? Things that are here now, and gone a moment later?

And to declare in the most categorical and explicit terms:

Innee Wajjahtu Wajhiya Lilladhee Fataras Samaawaati
Wal Arda Hanifan wa Maa Ana Minal Mushrikeen.

So, let us all go and sit down in a corner and figure out what it means to be Allah's Khalifah on Earth.

And use the Qur'an to figure that out.

And use the Ahaadeeth (plural for Hadith) and Sunnat of Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, to figure that out.

And use our own God-Given Brain -- such as it is -- to figure that out.

Because what happened on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, is what happens when ordinary people like you and me do not use our Brain -- our God-given powers of ObservationAnalysisReasoning and Understanding.

And when all those responsible -- you, me, and all those millions of people in the Media, and all those other people in positions of power in government, in businesses, in services, and all the others everywhere else -- hedge and fudge Reality and hesitate to tell the Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth, as they say in America.

Or they mix Truth with Falsehood, as the Qur'an puts it, with the object of Obfuscation and Covering Up the Truth.

And they do all this knowingly, willfully.

Hear the Qur'an in its own words:

Lima Talbisoonal Haqqa Bil Baatili,
wa Taktumoonal Haqqa,
wa Antum Ta'lamoon.

That is where it all begins. And that is where it all may end again, and again, and again.

If not worse, unless we change our ways.

But the Good News is that it is never too late to start.

It is never too late to Own Up to our Mistakes and Misdeeds of the Past; to Repent; and to Make a Fresh Start.

So, let us make a start today and commit ourselves to Start Caring, first of all.

To think beyond ourselves and our own families and friends.

And our own businesses and jobs.

And let us commit ourselves to Search for the Truth; to Discover and Find the Truth; and to Tell the Truth.

No matter how hard it maybe to Tell the Truth

And no matter how risky or dangerous it may be to Tell the Truth!

And whether or not Telling the Truth is in our own Personal Interest or not.

And whether or not Telling the Truth serves and advances our own narrow Partisan Purposes, Goals and Agendas or not.

That way, our world will be a better world, and we all can live happily ever after.

Otherwise, Allah's Retribution could be severe indeed.

Inna Batsha Rabbika La-Shadeed!
