So, What Really Is Haram?
Muslims! And others!
Want to know what is Haram – forbidden by God? I will tell you what is Haram, and do so in some detail.
Let us start with the July 3 military coup d’état against President Dr. Morsi in Egypt. That is Haram. And it is as Haram as it gets because God Almighty abhors and despises it.
It is more severely and intensely Haram – despised, forbidden and rejected by God – than eating all the pork in the world; gambling in every casino around the globe; drinking all the liquor in every bottle on the planet; sleeping with every prostitute in every brothel everywhere; disregarding all the prayers and fasts of every month of Ramadan all your life; and breaking every other commandment in every divine book that you can find anywhere on earth.
That is because all coup d’états against a country’s legitimate civilian democratically elected government are inherently evil – and they are all Haram.
Crimes against God, Crimes against Humanity
These coup d’états are all crimes.
They are Crimes against God.
And they are all Crimes against Humanity.
That is because they are prime instruments devised by the Devil and his human agents on earth to impose upon human beings, whom God created free, on pain of death and humiliation and torture, a forced regime of slavery, bondage, tyranny, cruelty and deprivation of all human rights and legal recourse.
And they are all abhorred and forbidden by God, which makes them Haram.
And their perpetrators are criminals – not just “sinners” but “criminals.”
That is what the Qur’an calls them: criminals.
The Qur’an calls them Mujrims – “criminals,” not sinners, as many English translations of the Qur’an say. Many of these English translators of the Qur’an, in this case and in many other cases, simply seem to miss the point of the Qur’an.
So, What Is Haram?
So, here is a list of some of what is Haram:
The criminal coup d’état against President Dr. Morsi in Egypt on July 3rd, 2013, by the Egyptian military, is Haram.
The kidnapping of President Dr. Morsi by the criminal Egyptian Military Junta is Haram.
Holding President Dr. Morsi prisoner in solitary confinement without allowing him to communicate with the outside world, including his family, is Haram.
Dismantling by force the legitimate, democratically elected government in Egypt is Haram.
Abolishing the popular Egyptian National Constitution is Haram – a constitution that was ratified by a popular majority of 65 percent Egyptians.
Dismissing the freely and openly elected Egyptian Parliament is Haram.
The criminal Egyptian military massacring the innocent unarmed civilian men, women and children on a daily basis in Egypt is Haram.
The military’s burning of the bodies of Pro-Democracy protestors and demonstrators in Egypt is Haram.
And What Else Is Haram?
Lending support of public office to this criminal coup d’état in Egypt, like the corrupt Grand Azhar Shaikh Dr. Tayyeb did, is Haram.
And giving Fatwas after Fatwas afters Fatwas as did on so many occasions Dr. Ali Gomaa, the former Grand Mufti of Egypt, justifying the criminal military coup, and its criminal bloody and barbaric aftermath, is Haram.
To aid and abet, and to support in any form or fashion, by word or by deed, any of these criminal and Haram activities and atrocities also is Haram.
Silence in the Face of Tyranny Is Haram
And – listen well to this! – so is remaining silent in the face of these criminal and Haram activities and atrocities that are unfolding in Egypt on a daily basis.
They are all Haram of the worst kind and the most severe degree and category you can imagine. And their punishment is hell. And no amount of personal pieties can atone for them or expiate them or wash them off.
So, for those of you obsessed with the momentous question of what is Haram and what is not, this is your primer on the subject. This is your own personal Haram 101.
All you need to do is to make a list of all the Haram things I have listed above and memorize it.
