The key requirement of life is "Iman." Even that is "Given," not earned. So, what are you going to do?
When Iman is right, then, nothing that happens is wrong. Whatever happens comes from Allah. And our job is to say: Yes!
And that is the end of the story.
A Muslim's life runs, not just on "Hope" and but on the Twin-Turbos of Hope and Fear.

Allah's Twin Promise in the Qur'an is: Surely, Bad Days will be followed by Good Days.
Fa-Inna Ma'al Usri Yusran,
Inna Ma'al Usri Yusraa!
And Allah never breaks his promise.
The narrow path between Fear and Hope, in this world, is lit by iron resolve and trenchant sharpness of mind.
Unremitting effort then fuels the drive till the last breath leaves the body.
