Working for Allah May Be the Best Way to Cope with Life’s Challenges
Working for Allah May Be the Best Way to Cope with Life’s Challenges

Taking the Qur'an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It --
And which One Does Not?)
The world is full of problems. Challenges, if you want to call them that. Some small, some big. Some comparatively easy to solve and some that seem to defy solution.
But there is always one solution to life’s problems that people in general – and Muslims in particular – should not neglect.
It occurs to me that one solution to many of the problems we face – and certainly one way of coping with life and its challenges in general – is to move forward with what we may call the Work of Allah that we may have chosen to do.
In many ways, and if you understand it right, this is work that has been given to us by Almighty Allah himself. Because there is nothing in this world that people do that is not given to them by Allah – however he does it.
They call it Tawufeeq in some cultures, which means the will and ability and inclination to do things.
So, the bottomline is this:
We do what we do, and we do them the way we do them, because that is the Tawufeeq that we have been given by none other than Almighty Allah himself.
Yes, I do know a thing or two about Free Will and what non-Muslims talk about when they talk about Pre-Destination. I am familiar with the literature in the field as some people would say.
I am also not completely unaware of various kinds of Determinism from Genetic to Environmental to Social to Economic to what have you that people also talk about.
But when you bring Allah’s name in the picture, things are both clear and complicated. Understanding is always available and around. And complications abound.
And both complications as well as clarity and understanding come from Allah. They are both given, not acquired. Everything is given and nothing is acquired.
And that includes all thoughts and intentions and cognitions and emotions and feelings.
So are all human actions!
They are all caused and scripted and directed and managed from above. And yet – please do listen to this attentively – and yet we are responsible for all we do.
For everything.
Unless we are certified by competent medical authorities to be “insane,” in which case we are not personally responsible – criminally culpable – for what we do and for things that we fail to do.
Insanity is a Legal Defense in America. As it should be.
God Bless America!
And God Bless His World that He Created – and Continues to Create!
And Runs and Manages and Administers!
Insanity absolves you from Legal and Moral and Personal Culpability.
I wonder if Insanity was the Defense Isa, Alaihis Salam, Jesus Christ, was pleading on behalf of his people, when he is reported to have said:
“Lord!
Forgive them!
For they know not what they do!”
So, Allah does what he does. And those who have been given Understanding get it. Others fight over it and dig a deeper grave for themselves by every foolish nonsense they utter about Almighty Allah and his dispensation – and the way he runs and manages and administers his world.
So, what I am saying is this:
Life is full of challenges.
And we all cope with all those challenges in all kinds of ways we know how.
So, why not add a new tool to your toolkit of coping with Life and Life’s Challenges? Working for Allah?
And what does that mean, Working for Allah? Let me explain.
Working for Allah means, first of all, living your life – from A to Z – doing everything you do proceeding from, guided by, and in accordance with, Allah’s instructions and laws in the Qur’an and in the Hadith how to do them.
And then, as part of that busy and fully engaged and productive and constructive life, to dedicate every sleeping and every waking moment of your life, and every ounce of your energy, and every iota of your worldly resources – economic, social, political, financial, psychological and everything else – To Invite the Rest of the World of Allah to Allah and to Allah’s Deen.
Which in practice, in our day and age as they say, and in the places we live – all those wonderful places Allah has chosen to place us in, from India to America to Africa to Pakistan to Australia to UK to South America to Arabia to the Caribbean to everywhere else, May God Almighty Bless All Those Wonderful Places and His Whole World! For, That Is Who We Are: We Are The Blessers! We Are the People of Salam: told, commanded and ordered by Rasulullah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, to “Go out into the world and flood the world with Salaam.” Afshus Salaam, is what he said, Allah’s Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam. And he said, Allah’s Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam: “Also make sure people – all people – have enough to eat!”: Wa At’imut Ta’aam. That is what he said, Allah’s Rasul, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam! – may boil down to Dedicating Yourself to Taking the Qur’an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It – and Which One Does Not?
That sentence got a little interesting – and complicated – wouldn’t you say? By design though. So let me restate the gist of what I said:
You want an absolutely unfailing tool and technique to cope with life and its multifarious challenge? Dedicate yourself to Taking the Qur’an to Every Home and Heart that Needs It – and Which One Does Not?
